This is my first post from the LJ Mobile App on my Palm. :D

Last night and every night for the last week and a half on ontd_ai  participating in whatever Epic shit was going on there. :D

I think some might. Higher intelligence animals definitely seem to show regret, sorrow, and a range of other emotions. For instance, cats and dogs, dogs especially, seem to be apologetic after being scolded.

The most potent example I can think of, however, is the rat. My pet rat, Puget, bit me once. He drew blood. I cursed and put him back in his cage and was making general pained sounds and such. However, I HAD startled him when he bit me. I let him back out of the cage and he went in for just a second, pulled out his little stuffed bear, and dropped it in my hand. I think that that was his way of saying he was sorry for hurting me and trying to make it up to me.
